cute, playful, curious

Baby Duck Gin is a vibrant take on a classic spirit, created by professional bartenders seeking to offer a new flavor profile to accompany popular craft cocktails.  The spirit is distilled with a harmonious composition of botanicals including juniper berries, wild blueberries, grapefruit, lavender, and mint. The result is a bright, fruity essence with an energetic, floral overtone that finishes refreshing and smooth.

Baby Duck Gin is produced by Yahara Bay Distilling Co. in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. It is distilled by macerating botanicals in grain alcohol for 24 hour, then distilled using a small batch, copper pot still. The method produces a crystal clear gin with a highly flavorful and dynamic botanical profile. Baby Duck Gin is bottled in 750mL, clear glass bottles, at 48% abv. The selection of alcohol by volume has been carefully selected to produce the most flavorful expression of this spirit.

The recipe for Baby Duck Gin was crafted by Daniel Saller, a bartender based in Chicago, Illinois.  Having taught himself how to distill in his garage, he sought to recreate his favorite spirit in a way that elevates a vast array of popular cocktails, while leaving behind a recognizable flavor profile.  While Daniel was working at a renowned Chicago restaurant, Trivoli Tavern, he began to envision what Baby Duck Gin is today: a bright and colorful expression of a timeless classic, created by bartenders, to be enjoyed by cocktail enthusiasts.

The baby duck is a reminder of little moments of joy that get overlooked by a complex and often times difficult world. This gin strives to bring forward the type of joy one gets when sitting down to appreciate a cocktail.  It encourages you to sip, pause, and capture these short-lived moments of happiness.
